Jack Johnson

In the past seven years, Jack Johnson has gone from professional surfer to filmmaker - shooting and scoring his widely popular 16mm surf films - to one of the world's most well-known musicians. His latest release Sleep Through the Static debuted at #1 in Canada, United States, United Kingdom and Australia, selling an impressive 374,000 albums in its first week, including the highest number of digital copies sold in the first week for any album in iTunes history.

Jack Johnson has found global success on his own terms, without hype or compromise. In the three years since his last album, In Between Dreams, was released, Jack has been spending time with his family and focusing on the Kokua Hawaii Foundation and its annual benefit concert, the Kokua Festival. The Foundation, headed by Johnson and his wife, focuses on recycling programs and environmental education in Hawaii's schools.

“I can't think of a better reason to put on a concert than to bring people together to create positive change,” said Jack Johnson. “With this year's tour we are bringing together all of our resources All At Once to give back to each community that we visit.”

With a rootsy and pure approach to his music, an unflappable demeanour and engaging personality, and an unassailable commitment to the issues closest to his heart, Jack Johnson may be the world's most unassuming and genuine music superstar.
